Africa Entrepreneur Conference (AEC) an African-based and African founded organization whose focus is to provide growth and stability for African Entrepreneurs and their businesses has appointed Banabasi Marambire as it’s Country Director in Zimbabwe. Based in Harare, Banabasi will be working closely with strategic partners and the local AEC team to continue the organization’s focus on providing growth and stability for African Entrepreneurs and their businesses, strengthening brand equity and attracting other strategic partners in Zimbabwe.
He will also focus on delivering more youth and female led business interventions
Banabasi’s appointment reinforces the strength of AEC’s commitment to promote entrepreneurship for job and wealth creation across the African continent and to build the people who build the businesses that build and transform Africa.
Commenting on his appointment, the President of AEC, Charles Anyomi said; “AEC has a continent wide plan and the structure is to have Country Directors to forster operations and Banabasi Marambire has the experience and the expertise to drive our organization’s goals and ambitions in Zimbabwe”
Banabasi is a Zimbabwean Entrepreneur, Founder and Group Chairman of Barmlo Group. He is also the author of the ground breaking book; “The Herd Boy”.
Barmlo Group has many projects across the country of Zimbabwe, and expanded into Botswana and Zambia. It has over 500 workforce across all its companies. Barmlo construction, a subsidiary of the Barmlo Group has been recognised in Africa through participating in Jac Ma foundation under Africa Netpreneur Initiative Price and qualified to semi-finals. The company has been nominated in various platforms and won a first prise under 2016 Global Shapers initiative under construction category.
Banabasi has a passion to encourage other entrepreneurs through his life experience in achieving a sustainable business through hard working and perseverance. Growing up as orphan, he is also participating in assisting under privileged students by paying tuition fees for their studies. He is also passionate in providing indicatives that create employment particularly for people living in the rural areas.
